@AngryLlamaAttack short term scalping is owned by the algos and HFT.the good trading is now looking at a few days holding period, swing scalping is what we call it in our Dittotrade account.

Hey sgomez, really eye opening stuff. What is your opinion on long term trading and scalping the market? Thank you for taking the time to read my message!

Yeah, it's real powerful, alright. Only problem is FIGURING out how to MAKE IT WORK. After a coupla months, I gave up. It was just a real pain in the @r$ to setup. I got a free version from Scottrade, and even they couldn't get it to work properly!

@sgomez858 Where can I find a comprehensive list of the sectors EACH stock belongs to? Also where can I find the appropriate ETF for each sector so that I can watch this as well. Thanks bud!
sgomez858 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@mattc941 watch the sector as a whole then try to identify the leader stock in that sector or look for lagging stocks in that sector that still have a good chart. When the market makes a new high during the day I often glance over at the alerts to see what ETFs are the first to also move to highs. Top down approach.

How do you trade with charts of the sectors and compare them to the individual stocks? Do you find one consistently leads the other or vice versa?
