Why is it I can casually listen to 80s/90s music while reading but the new stuff unnerves me? A Coldplay-like group or Katy Perry type artist is just so much buzzing, twittering, and chirping that can be unbearable. Maybe it's nostalgia or having these songs ingrained that makes them tolerable.
