I have these two problems but I don't understand them could you help me pleasee??
1.Use the Intermediate Value Theorem to prove there is x∈[(-π)/2,π/2] such that tanx=1.5.
2. Suppose f is continuous on [1, 5] and the only solutions of the equation f(x)=6 are x=1 and x=4. If f(2)=8, use IVT to explain why f(3)>6.
