Exactly. Im a broker and i get sick to my stomach when i lose a client money. But its part of the game, your not going to win every time. you would be shocked to hear some of the lies clients tell when they lose money. anything from the broker used high pressure sales tactics to get me to buy it, to even saying that the trade was done without their permission. its funny to see how quick their tune changes once they find out that all the phone conversations are recorded

@azas1949 i wouldnt go as far as calling you a moron, but that is a pretty moronic statement, saying to stay away from all stock brokers. granted some are real lowlifes but there are also bad lawyers, bad mechanics, and bad doctors. if you get sick you go to a doctor that gives you the wrong medicine that dont mean your not going to get checked out the next time you get sick. your just going to go to a different doctor.

you have something called a "Market Rate Certificate of Deposit" where banks can issue a cd that is "guaranteed" principle but the return is based on like the s&p... I don't know if this person has a case because sec requires majority of stock brokers to do what you call a "risk tolerance" to see what they can handle and also all these dam disclosures... but then again... people will sue regardless...

you can buy a CD yourself. you don't need a stockbroker. I think we all know now to stay away from stockbrokers. |
